Mission Statement: The Allegany Safe Haven House will provide a safe and supportive environment for adult victims of domestic violence and their children by providing supervised visitation and exchanges as well as having access to community resources to promote stability and security.
Supervised Visitation: A parent visits with the child(ren) on-site in a setting monitored by supervised visitation staff in order to provide a safe environment for the custodial parent, visiting parent and children.
Monitored Exchange:A parent (custodial) brings the children to the Center to be dropped off to the other parent (visiting) in a safe environment with zero contact between both parents.
Eligibility of Service:A family is eligible for services if there is intimate partner abuse, child abuse (sexual and/ or physical), a court order, or a Department of Social Service referral.
Referral Process: Referral sources (e.g. courts, individuals and other agencies) will provide information to determine if the criteria is met for the visitation and exchange center services. Individuals may contact the Center voluntarily and an intake to determine eligibility will be scheduled.
Fees: There are no fees associated with these services. Program Operations: Hours of operation are subject to change. *The Center has the right to refuse to accept any case when safety needs and risk presented by the family cannot be managed.
